You can upload videos shot on your iPhone. However, some people are surprised to find out once they upload their video, that it is upside down. The problem is that you shot your video upside down using your iPhone. On Quicktime on Mac and on YouTube the player automatically adjusts the video on playback. Most software, including the transcoding software that we use on our servers does not handle this. Here is a video that explains the issue. In the future you can make sure you shoot right side up: the volume buttons are on top in landscape or the lock button is on top for portrait mode.
To fix the video that is currently uploaded, please do the following:
- Download a copy of the video that you uploaded to our server by playing it and then clicking the "Download Video" link below the video.
- This downloaded copy should play upside down on your local computer and in your Quicktime.
- In Quicktime, flip the video by using the Edit: Flip Vertical menu.
-Upload your corrected video to your Studio.
